About

About this website – what is Kiss My Backpack?

Kiss My Backpack is an English-language travel platform designed to help international visitors plan their trip to Bulgaria easily and independently. The site makes it simple to navigate the country by region or personal interests, and ensures you won’t miss out on interesting spots and hidden corners that are often just steps away but rarely mentioned in standard travel guides.

The goal is simple:
✅ Plan your trip to Bulgaria with confidence and independence
✅ Navigate quickly whether you’re seeking nature, history, food, or relaxation
✅ Discover places that are right in front of you, but missing from most guidebooks.

This isn’t an encyclopedia. It’s not a travel agency.
It’s a realistic, useful, and human resource to make your trip truly fulfilling.

While Bulgaria is at the heart of Kiss My Backpack, there’s also a section dedicated to destinations abroad drawn from my own travels. It is for those who want inspiration beyond Bulgaria’s borders.

About the author – who is Stefani Gospodinova?

I was born and raised in Bulgaria and have been traveling the country since I was a child, inspired by my family’s love for exploring the outdoors – especially my uncle and aunt who love hiking.

At 18, I moved to the Netherlands to study, and in the following years travelled to more than 15 countries. These experiences gave me a clear understanding of what travelers truly need when visiting a new place.

I bring more than five years of experience in content creation and semantic SEO, including keyword research, content planning, and execution.

I also have a passion for photography, and most locations featured on Kiss My Backpack are shown through my own images to help you plan realistically and confidently.
